The trailer for Safety Not Guaranteed is no online after it walked out of the Sundance Film Festival with the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award and a distribution deal with Film District.
The film, from director Colin Trevorrow and starring Aubrey Plaza and Mark Duplass, is a time travel comedy based on a real ad placed in Backwoods Home Magazine that follows a trio of magazine employees sent to investigate a classified ad seeking a partner for time travel. Darius (Plaza), a cynical aspiring journalist, poses as a candidate to accompany Kenneth (Duplass), a paranoid but compelling loner, but her motivations become confused when she develops feelings for him and begins to wonder whether he is really building a time machine.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 8 and it received a lot of attention out of Sundance so it just might be one to put on your radar. You can watch the trailer below or in high definition at Apple.
