Yup, you guessed it, yet another piece of marketing material for Prometheus arrives, this time in the form of a viral video featuring a commercial of sorts for the android you will soon come to know as David (Michael Fassbender). Even though I haven’t been watching this trailers and viral videos, I must say the marketing campaign on Prometheus has been flawless. “Big things have small beginnings.”
It was previously said The Expendables 2 would be rated PG-13 at the request of co-star Chuck Norris who said he didn’t do R-rated movies. Sylvester Stallone then confirmed that rumor, but appears to have had a change of heart now saying, “After taking in all the odd rumors and hearsay, Expendables 2 is an R.” [source]
Michael Bay‘s Platinum Dunes is remaking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and in an interview at the 2012 Nickelodeon Upfront, Bay told the crowd, “When you see this movie, kids are going to believe that one day these turtles actually do exist… when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.” Of course, being “mutant” turtles, the word “alien” is causing some problems with fans. To the right is a new trailer for Dark Shadows that apparently features Alice Cooper at the end. I didn’t watch and don’t much care, but feel free to give it a peek.
That said, I received an email from a reader just last night telling me how disappointed he was in the first trailer for Dark Shadows saying, “Tim Burton blew a chance to resurrect a wonderful franchise… even people who like comedy will tell you that Dark Shadows was NOT a Comedy!” Any other fans out there agree?
I mentioned this in Sunday’s source]
Finally, here’s a new international poster and banners for The Avengers. I’ve included the poster directly below along with thumbnails to explore the banner images. [source]
