A second trailer for the historical re-imaginging Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is featured directly below giving you yet another look at the upcoming film adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel of the same name re-imagining Lincoln as an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire assassin.
The story promises to give new context to real historical events such as the Civil War and Lincoln’s ascension to the White House beginning with his mother’s murder when he was still a young boy and his vow of revenge.
Relative newcomer and stage actor Benjamin Walker takes on the title role and is joined by Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson, Robin McLeavy, Alan Tudyk and Rufus Sewell in the Timur Bekmambetov directed feature, which is set to hit theaters on June 22.
