Warner Bros. just sent over these first two looks at the cast of Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book of the same name, which is currently shooting down under and will be released in 3D on December 25, 2012
The story is set just after World War I and told from the eyes of Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), the book’s narrator, who after returning home from the war heads to New York to become a bondsman, which is when he meets the wealthy Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and gets pulled into his world. Carey Mulligan plays Daisy Buchanan and Joel Edgerton stars as Tom Buchanan and they’re joined by Jason Clarke as George Wilson and Isla Fisher as Myrtle Wilson.
