Universal has debuted the trailer and poster (via Yahoo) for The Five-Year Engagement, which reteams The Muppets co-writers Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller only this time Stoller is back behind the camera, where he was when he directed Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The synopsis reads like this:
Beginning where most romantic comedies end, The Five-Year Engagement looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.
Like The Muppets, the film was written by Segel and Stoller.
The Five-Year Engagement is set to hit theaters on April 27, 2012 and along with Segel and Blunt, the rest of the cast includes Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, Rhys Ifans, Jacki Weaver, Lauren Ambrose, Lauren Weedman, David Paymer, Mindy Kaling, Chris Parnell, Jim Piddock and Dakota Johnson.
