Updated Oscar Predictions: Best Picture, Actor, Actress and Director

Whew, it’s about time I updated the top contender categories and I need to take a look at the Supporting categories as well pretty soon. Today I have brand new Oscar predictions for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director for you, seeing how it had been over a month since I touched any of these four categories.

When I originally established this new predictions admin I intended to update the categories on a regular basis, but then I started thinking I should write a post each time I updated them. Well, I’m not going to do that, especially since I not only update the predictions, but I update the comments on several of the contenders I move around. So just start keeping a closer eye on my Oscar Predictions homepage. Maybe check it once a week or so, which you can do just by mousing over the “Awards” tab in the navigation above and clicking on “Oscar Predictions”.

As for today’s updated predictions, I have added five new contenders to these four categories; three to Best Picture (The Iron Lady, My Week with Marilyn and Drive), one to Best Actor (Demian Bichir for A Better Life) and one to Best Actress (Olivia Colman for Tyrannosaur).

I have new number ones in Best Actor, Actress and Director and things are beginning to heat up.

Featured just below are my current pick for nominees in each category, but if you can click on the “Browse the Complete Field” link for more information on why each film is where it is in the ranking and why some have moved up and down the list. For the Oscar Predictions homepage click here.
