Mark Ruffalo Puckers Up for First Look at ‘The Avengers’ on the Cover of EW

I’m sorry, but I actually laughed out loud at Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner (aka The Incredible Hulk) as he joins the rest of the cast of The Avengers on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Seriously, who in their right mind would not only approve this cover, but even suggest Ruffalo make that face? What is he some kind of boy band pedophile? Does he drive a van with blacked out windows?

The cover also features Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark (aka Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and each looks a bit out of place, but that’s primarily because the picture wasn’t taken with all of them together, but sheesh, Ruffalo sticks out like a sore thumb.

The Avengers hits theaters on May 4, 2012, continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s The Avengers is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster.
