Okay, this just looks weird. In an attempt to get all metaphorical the poster for The Iron Lady, a biopic featuring Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher, the first and only female Prime Minister of The United Kingdom, looks almost like a minimalist poster (via Yahoo) for Return of the Jedi with half of Streep’s head turned into the Parliament building. Shouldn’t there be tie fighters and the Millennium Falcon battling it out near her forehead?
Streep co-stars in the film, which is directed by her Mamma Mia! helmer Phyllida Lloyd, with Jim Broadbent, Anthony Head, Richard E. Grant, Roger Allam and Olivia Colman. The film is obviously being looked at as Streep’s big for a 17th Oscar nomination and her third win. I currently have her ranked #1 on my charts, but I am feeling a strong case of Viola Davis (The Help) coming on. Am I crazy?
