I was recently informed by two different people that they had to walk out of a theater they were in for about 3 minutes because the trailer for Drive started playing in front of the movie they were watching. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to hear you say you are taking the pleasure of seeing movies fresh so seriously. Kudos, you will be rewarded come September 16 when Drive hits the big screen and you will be one of the lucky few in the theater expecting absolutely nothing from each scene. The combined trailers and clips pretty much spell out everything that happens in the film and why FilmDistrict decided to go that route is beyond me, but it is what it is.
Fortunately, I can still talk about the film by bringing you a gallery of nine new posters, all courtesy of IMPAwards. Above are six banners in a slideshow promoting the film and below are three new character posters featuring Christina Hendricks, Oscar Isaac and Ron Perlman.
Drive will be playing the Toronto Film Festival in September, but I am going to be lucky enough to see it again this Thursday and I cannot wait.
