The 2000 A.D. fan blog (via Bleeding Cool) scanned some images from the pages of Empire magazine’s latest issue bringing us new looks at Lionsgate’s Dredd, the new adaptation centered on the character Judge Joe Dredd created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra from the British science fiction anthology “2000 AD”. The story centers on Dredd (Urban), an American law enforcement officer in a violent city of the future where uniformed Judges combine the powers of police, judge, jury and executioner. Dredd and his fellow Judges are empowered to arrest, sentence and even execute criminals on the spot.
I cleaned up the scans the best I could and also uploaded the new Empire cover featuring Urban in full uniform followed by the subscriber-only cover.
