Eddard Stark is Fit to Be Snow White’s King

The Hollywood Reporter brings word Sean Bean has taken his regal stature as Lord Eddard Stark on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and will now sit on the throne in Tarsem Singh’s untitled Snow White feature (also known as The Brothers Grimm: Snow White).

Bean joins Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Lily Collins and Nathan Lane in the adaptation of the fairy tale in which an evil Queen (Roberts) steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess (Collins) enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over. Hammer stars as the object of their affection, Prince Andrew Alcott, and Lane stars as the hapless and bungling servant to the Queen. Bean will play father to the titular Snow and husband to Roberts’ evil queen as he watches the destruction of his kingdom.

On top of a second season of “Game of Thrones”, Bean will be seen next year in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

Filming on The Brothers Grimm: Snow White is already underway on the project in Montreal, on track for a March 16, 2012 release.

Finally, as a side note, Pajiba put together the the following compilation video taking Bean’s role from 21 films and showing how he died in all 21. Yeah, it would seem he gravitates toward characters unlike to still be breathing once the credits begin to role. Considering Snow White is expected to be more of a comedic family adventure, who knows, maybe he’ll survive this time.
