‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer Next Week

SuperHeroHype is reporting the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will hit theaters next Friday with select prints of Captain America: The First Avenger and that it runs a full 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Considering Captain America is a Paramount property I have to imagine the trailer will hit the Internet around the same time considering Columbia Pictures doesn’t have a vested interest in ensuring additional ticket sales for Captain.

It is also assumed this will be the same footage expected to be shown at the San Diego Comic Con next Friday.

Additionally, “Entertainment Weekly” has debuted the cover for their Comic Con issue and featured is Andrew Garfield as your new Spider-Man and inside the pages EW reports:

EW can also exclusively confirm that Rhys Ifans will be playing Doc Conners, who, in an experiment gone wrong, transforms into one of Spider-Man’s most formidable foes ever, the Lizard.

Director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) told the mag The Amazing Spider-Man promises to be a “more contemporary,” “more gritty” and “more character-driven” look at the comic book hero.
