First Poster for ‘Dream House’ Still Leaves Us Wondering What Kind of Film We’re Going to Get

An early poster for the Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts thriller Dream House has arrived via Recent Movie Posters and we are either looking at another Skeleton Key type thriller (likely) or perhaps Jim Sheridan will pull an Alejandro Amenbar and deliver us something creepy a la The Others.

The poster reminds me of a similar shot in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense and considering the rating information isn’t yet filled in this may not end up being the final version, but it certainly looks like enough time was spent in Photoshop for this to be one of the final contenders.

Dream House isn’t too far away with a September 30 release date on the horizon so I would suspect we will also be getting the film’s first trailer quite soon.

Some say that all houses have memories. For one man, his home is the place he would kill to forget. Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts star in Dream House, a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a home where several grisly murders were committed… only to find themselves the killer’s next target. Successful publisher Will Atenton (Craig) quit a job in New York City to relocate his wife, Libby (Weisz), and two girls to a quaint New England town. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will’s dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.
