Trailer for Darren Bousman’s ’11-11-11′ and 17 Pics from His ‘Mother’s Day’

Darren Lynn Bousman hit the scene when he directed Saw II, III and IV. From there he helmed Repo! The Genetic Opera which has managed to find itself something of a cult following, but Bousman hasn’t necessarily found himself to be all that much of a hot commodity since. However, he does have a pair of films in the can, one which is hitting a few theaters overseas right now, but has yet to find a domestic distributor, and another which also hasn’t found distribution but is still expected to hit theaters, appropriately, on November 11.

We’ll begin with the one that hit UK theaters earlier this month, Mother’s Day, a remake of the 1980s horror classic starring Rebecca De Mornay and Jaime King. This thriller begins with a bank robbery gone wrong, as three brothers on the run from the law head for home only to discover their mother lost the house in a foreclosure. The new owners and their guests, gathered for an ill-timed birthday party, become the brothers’ unwitting hostages. Their mother and sister arrive, and it soon becomes obvious that Mother (Rebecca De Mornay) will do absolutely anything to protect her children.

I just added 17 stills from the film which you can browse in the slideshow above or check out in our gallery right here. I also have an old sales trailer you can watch here if you’re interested. Optimum supposedly released the film to UK theaters back on June 10, but I haven’t heard much about it, though it does seem a few IMDb message board members are discussing it.

Secondly, we have 11-11-11, which saw the release of a new trailer today. This horror-thriller is set at 11:11 on the 11th day of November and concerns an entity from another world that enters the earthly realm through Heaven’s 11th gate. I’ve included a more detailed synopsis below the trailer, which you can watch right now.
