First Poster for Pixar’s ‘Brave’ Arrives

Last weekend I saw the first teaser trailer for Pixar’s next animated feature, Brave, in front of my screening of Cars 2. The teaser will play in front of Cars 2 this weekend, but when I asked when it would debut online the only response from Disney I got was “TBD”, but I think it’s safe to assume that by Monday, if not sooner, we will have a nice high definition version of it to show you.

However, to whet your appetite until then, the teaser poster for the film has arrived courtesy of Entertainment Weekly and you can check it out directly below.

The film features the voice of Kelly Macdonald (“Boardwalk Empire”) as Merida, a skilled archer who confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts to discover the true meaning of courage. The mysterious Highlands of Scotland serve as the backdrop of this new tale that joins the land’s ancient lore, stories of epic battles and mystical legends passed down for generations. The film also features the voices of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. Brave will hit theaters on June 22, 2012.

Check out the poster below and for a look at the first still as well as some concept art from the feature click here. And stay tuned, like I said, I saw the teaser trailer and while it is certainly a “tease” in the grand sense of the word, it looks excellent.
