Linkin Park Sets Out to Take Your Breath Away with New ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Ballad

All I can think of when I hear any of the three songs Linkin Park has contributed to the Transformers franchise is of Berlin and how they sold out to make “Take My Breath Away” for Top Gun, a song unlike the rest of their music. The song became a huge hit, but also pretty much buried the band.

Outside of the previous two songs Linkin Park made for Transformers, I don’t think there’s much of a difference and it seems they’ve slowed things down even more with their latest single “Iridescent” for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is a far cry from the “Hybrid Theory” album that turned the rock-rap group into a mainstream success. Check out a music video trailer featuring the song below.

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is set to hit theaters on June 29. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.
