Based on the poll I started yesterday, Green Lantern is the least anticipated superhero movie of the summer, though Thor is giving it a run for its money and Warner Bros. recently revealed three new images from the film with one of them being the above shot of Ryan Reynolds as the titular character as he wields a Gatling gun conjured into existence by his power ring (if I’m understanding things correctly). I’m sorry, but to me it still looks silly.
I’ve added the two other new shots directly below, both featuring the fish-guy Tomar-Re who will be voiced by Geoffrey Rush. The second one features some giant alien with a big eyeball, but I don’t know who or what it is exactly.
Green Lantern is set to hit theaters on June 17 and while I’m curious to see how all of this plays in story form I can’t say I’m not skeptical.
