Leonard Nimoy Voicing Prime’s Brother in ‘Transformers 3’

Along with a few new images from the film, today offers some voice casting news for Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon as Entertainment Weekly reports Leonard Nimoy is coming out of retirement to voice Sentinel Prime, Optimus Prime’s big brother and predecessor.

Bay landing Nimoy isn’t as surprising as it may initially sound considering the 70-year-old Star Trek actor is married to Michael Bay’s cousin, Susan Bay. Nimoy is also no stranger to the world of Transformers having voiced Galvatron in the 1986 animated film. You can watch a clip of that to the right.

In other Dark of the Moon news, a few new images have surfaced online courtesy of SpoilerTV depicting some of the carnage to take place in the film when it hits theaters on July 1. I’ve added them below, but you can browse the entire gallery right here.

I’m curious, does the addition of Nimoy add any excitement for you?
