The teaser trailer for the upcoming Conan the Barbarian starring Jason Momoa as the title character. The story is based on Robert E. Howard’s creation and follows Conan’s quest across the continent of Hyboria, as he fights to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.
Here’s the official synopsis:
A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.
Alongside Momoa, the film stars Bob Sapp as Ukafa, Rachel Nichols as Tamara, Stephen Lang as Khalar Zym, Ron Perlman as Corin and Rose McGowan as Marique. Pathfinder and Texas Chainsaw Massacre helmer Marcus Nispel directed the film, which will hit theaters on August 19.
