Paramount just sent over a pair of new pieces of promotional art for Thor, one of two additions to the Marvel universe of superhero movies due out this year alongside Captain America: The First Avenger (which I also added new stills for yesterday which you can check out here).
As for these new Thor pieces, the banner art above obviously shrinks up quite a bit so you can give it a click for the ultra hi-res version if you want to save it to your desktop. Featured on the poster, from the left, are Chris Hemsworth as the title character, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and Idris Elba as Heimdall

Thor will be the first of the Marvel features to hit theaters this year on May 6 followed by Captain America on July 22 as they lead to 2012’s superhero team-up feature, The Avengers due on May 4, 2012 directed by Joss Whedon (Serenity).
