I discussed The Weinstein Co.’s forthcoming alien conspiracy feature Apollo 18 at length back in December so I’ll be brief. The film is centered on a found footage conspiracy relating to the never-launched, but the movie says it launched, flight of Apollo 18 in December of 1973. During that launch two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. The film claims to be the actual footage which the astronauts captured on that mission. Essentially, it won’t only be Michael Bay and his Transformers opening up moon-related conspiracies in 2011.
Apollo 18 is produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego and is set to hit theaters on April 22. Check out the trailer directly below and if you want more check out my previous post here.
