I remember the awful 2006 animated film Open Season, which featured Martin Lawrence as a Boog the bear and Ashton Kutcher as a Elliot the deer, but don’t remember being aware of a sequel to that film and then come to receive the following trailer for Open Season 3, which arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on January 25, 2011. Here’s the synopsis…
Boog, Elliot are back and the fur is going to fly! When Boog’s buddies can’t make their annual guys-only getaway, he decides to take a trip by himself. Stumbling across a visiting circus, Boog switches places with a look-alike circus grizzly and takes over his part in the act. But when the circus decides to go back to Russia, it’s a race against time for Elliot, McSquizzy, Mr. Weenie and the gang to rescue Boog before it’s too late!
There’s no word on who’s voicing Boog and Elliot though Mike Epps and Joel McHale voiced them respectively in Open Season 2. However the press release does list Steve Schirripa (Open Season 2, “The Sopranos”), Crispin Glover (Back to the Future franchise, Open Season 2) Ciara Bravo (TV’s “Big Time Rush”), Dana Snyder (TV’s “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”) and Karley Scott Collins as members of the voice cast.
