I can’t wait to finally see Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker, a film that has already been seen enough times to have a new poster slathered with glowing critical quotes and will finally hit theaters on June 26. On top of the new poster seen below and previewed in our gallery for the film also comes six new stills featuring explosions, one fella in a protective bomb diffusing suit and some quizzical looks.
The Hurt Locker was inspired by true events and recently declassified information. The film follows an elite Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team in present-day Baghdad that fights an onslaught of bombs and snipers. Jeremy Renner plays the leader of the team, while Anthony Mackie and Brian Geraghty are members of it. Ralph Fiennes is a mercenary; Guy Pearce is another member of the team.
