#1 movie predicted correctly: 7 Weeks in a Row
Yep, I’m taking Seuss again. And it won’t be close.
Estimate: $25.1 million
My theory is that the Easter weekend helps these family-ish titles. Actually, that’s not so much my theory as it is a proven fact. That’s right, we’re using proven facts around here.
Estimate: $14.6 million
This is one horrible movie. Even the marketing is terrible. Have you noticed the trailer isn’t even good? Now extend that out for 90 minutes. Bad times all around.
Estimate: $12.9 million
4. Shutter
Look, no one wants to see this. No one that you know at least. But someone will it. Like a million or so of ’em.
Estimate: $9.0 million
5. 10,000 B.C.
My projections call for a 51% bleed, down from last weekend’s 54%. Bet on it.
Estimate: $8.2 million
If you’re wondering why I’m mailing this Oracle in it’s because March Madness is going down. Hey, after a couple years I’m due a pass. The projections are right on though, never fear.
Estimate: $4.3 million
This was a big letdown last week. I suppose it could be again but I’m not asking for much here. I could make $4m with a video cam and some masking tape.
Estimate: $4.0 million
8. The Bank Job
This is still one of the few good movies out. Plus it’s not even that good. Man, I hate March at the movies.
Estimate: $3.0 million
I was reading somewhere how this is a nice financial hit. I wept for our future right about then.
Estimate: $2.8 million
10. Doomsday
I need $1221 per theater for this to come true. I ask so little. I only want a ten for ten weekend before I die.
Estimate: $2.4 million
