I appear to stand alone when I say Jennifer Hudson WAS NOT ACTING in Dreamgirls, SHE WAS SINGING. Then again, since she is only managing two bit roles in films such as Sex and the City: The Movie and now Tyler Perry’s the Family That Preys, it appears people realize what I realize. However, this doesn’t mean she can’t act, the true test is going to come with Winged Creatures, in which she stars alongside Kate Beckinsale, Forest Whitaker, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, Jackie Earle Haley and Jeanne Tripplehorn. That film is a drama and not some candy coated comedy.
As for this Tyler Perry feature, Hudson joins Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard and Rockmond Dunbar and is expected to begin filming March 2 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. Damn, does Tyler Perry add his name to everything?

The story focuses on two families from different sides of the tracks that become intimately involved in love and business. Man, I smell originality just bubbling off this one. I hope there isn’t a misunderstanding involved because that would just be off the charts!
