There is no doubt that any lover of film knows and respects Roger Ebert and considering the hell he has been through as of late I think we can cut him some slack on getting his Best of 2006 list in a year late. For those that don’t know, back in June of 2006 Roger underwent surgery due to cancer of the salivary gland that had spread to his right lower jaw. During the surgery there was unanticipated bleeding and he was ultimately hospitalized for nearly a year.
So, to even think that Ebert did enough catching up to put together a top ten list for 2006 that he feels comfortable releasing is saying a lot.
