Ben Kingsley, the man that can play anyone is about to prove it as his SBK Pictures have acquired the rights to Christopher Rush’s novel “Will,” a fictional account of William Shakespeare’s deathbed meeting with his lawyer to discuss his last will and testament. The book was released worldwide on Thursday (check it out here).

Kingsley will play Shakespeare in the pic which is set to start shooting next year in the U.K.

“Christopher wrote the most amazing, literate and entertaining novel I’ve read in years, and I’m both honored and excited to be part of bringing ‘Will’ to life,” Kingsley told The Hollywood Reporter.

Kingsley has proven his ability to play a multitude of nationalities played Itzhak Stern in Schindler’s List, Lenin in “Lenin: The Train” and of course Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi in Gandhi, which won him a Best Actor Oscar in 1982. He recently wrapped The Wackness and will next be heard as the Narrator in the animated The Ten Commandments due out October 19th.
