‘Bond 22’ is ‘Bourne’ to Fight!

Did you like what you saw action wise in The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum? Well, the fella behind a lot of that work was action designer Dan Bradley and the folks over EON Productions and Columbia Pictures have brought Bradley on to bring what he brought to Bourne to James Bond 22. Perhaps the Bond vs. Bourne comparisons will have no room left for comparison.

Bradley lotted out and directed the acclaimed fight sequences and car chases as the stunt coordinator and second unit director of the two Paul Greengrass-helmed Bourne sequels and will do the same for Bond 22. The Hollywood Reporter tells us that the producers want him to continue and build on the more realistic and gritty approach to the veteran British spy begun in last year’s Casino Royale. Well now, isn’t that just enough to get you all warm and fuzzy inside, so much for the more jokey Bond eh?

While some second unit scenes have already been shot for Bond 22 there is still no word on an official start for principal photography. There was some recent word that some filming took place in Madrid as recently as August 23 – 29, but Bond himself, Daniel Craig, was reportedly not shooting.

The as yet untitled James Bond 22 is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2008 with Marc Forster directing.
