‘Iron Man’ Updates Courtesy Jon Favreau

People want to see something from Iron Man, it doesn’t matter that it is still just under a year away, and they expected something in front of Transformers, but it wasn’t there. However, director Jon Favreau gives a little update on the film via MySpace and its upcoming promotion that is sure to ease everyone.

First off, he says that while the teaser wasn’t in front of Transformers there will be a presentation at Comic Con later this month. He says, “We will split an hour with Marvel and Hulk and plan to cut something together to reward the fans for their interest, support and patience. In addition to our Saturday afternoon presentation, we will be doing a signing and poster giveaway at the Marvel booth on Saturday. Paramount is also doing a rundown of its slate on Thursday which I will do my best to attend as well.”

He gives a couple story details saying that while they “took certain liberties to keep things fresh and unexpected” they pretty much stuck to the comic books, which should keep fans happy.

Oh, and as for the Hilary Swank, Sam Jackson and even a Favreau cameo he says they are all untrue, but then he coyly adds, “Well, maybe one is true.”
