Forster and Haggis Talk ‘Bond 22’

My personal anticipation for James Bond 22 is extremely high and along with The Dark Knight it is one of my most anticipated films of 2008. Recently Marc Forster was announced as the director and once again Paul Haggis was brought in to polish up Neal Purvis and Robert Wade’s script and both Haggis and Forster were in Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Film Festival and talked a bit about the upcoming feature.

MI6.co.uk has the quotes from the event in which Forster addressed the issue of never directing an action feature by saying, “I’ve been trying to look into it for a while and been looking for the right project, I just haven’t found it until now so I always had the fascination. I just always enjoyed them very, very much, loved the whole Indiana Jones series, the old Bonds, all those movies.”

In terms of story we all know there isn’t going to be a lot revealed, but Haggis did say, “I think it’s going to stand on its own although it does follow right on the heels of Casino Royale.”

The two had a couple more things to say, but nothing all that ground-breaking. To get the full look click here.
