Before I get into the meat of this article I noticed that Jeffrey Wells seems to have more of a plotline than anyone else as of yet as he says that Cloverfield is “about a creature from the sea that attacks Manhattan.” We knew it was some kind of a monster movie, but this is the first I have heard of a sea creature.
So, this crazy little trailer shows up in front of Transformers and now, along with the bajillions Transformers has made at the box-office, the Internet is buzzing about this secret little J.J. Abrams produced project Cloverfield, which is apparently being referred to as the “Untitled J.J. Abrams Project” even though Abrams is only the producer and Matt Reeves is directing.
While the bootleg trailer is online there are now three separate sites in relation to the film thanks to word from ComingSoon.net.
The first site is just a place holder site called 1-18-08.com. This may or may not be the actual movie site considering we also have cloverfieldmovie.com floating around out there. Now, ComingSoon tells us about two more websites pubbing some jimmy named Ethan Haas. Who is this fella? Who the hell knows, but he has some games for you to play.
On EthanHaasWasRight.com you will have a chance to play five little trick games and upon completing each you will get to watch an underground hidden video of a dude telling us Ethan was right about everything and I am prone to believe him since EthanHaasWasWrong.com doesn’t exist, but wait ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com does… more on that in a minute.
The five games include a Simon Says style game, an alphabet matching game, a jump the peg game, a programming game and finally crypto puzzle. After all of them you get a new video. On top of that there is a cryptic blog right here where you can read such things as:
