I have still not seen the Steve Martin remake The Pink Panther and now it seems The Pink Panther 2 may be upon us before I ever get a chance.
The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Agent Cody Banks helmer Harald Zwart is set to direct the sequel for Columbia Pictures and MGM from a screenplay penned by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, rewritten by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel.
There is no word on the synopsis other than to say that it will center on the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Martin) in the modern-day farce.
The film is eyeing a late August start date.
