As I started to write this article about Lindsay Lohan and her request to stay on the production of Poor Things despite her 30-day rehab stint one thing came to mind – “Ain’t Nothin’ Gonna Hold Me Down” by Men at Work. It goes a little something like this:
Nobody’s going to slow me down
Oh no, I have got to keep on moving
Ain’t nothing going to break my stride
I am running & I would not touch ground
Oh no, I have got to keep on moving
I can’t help but wonder if she has that on her iPod, if she doesn’t she should.
Anyway, it appears Lohan will indeed remaining on the production of Poor Things, which stars Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Lohan, Rosario Dawson and Channing Tatum. The flick has already begun production, but producers Shirley MacLaine and Rob Hickman are revamping the shooting schedule to accommodate Lindsay’s request. Here is the statement as reported by Variety:
In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on ‘Poor Things’,” MacLaine and Hickman said in a statement Thursday. “We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit.”
So, just to recap, as long as you are a Hollywood star you can be under the age of 21, get arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, hop a curb and crash your car and have what investigators believe is cocaine at the scene, police said, and still keep your job.
Only in Hollywood.
