Ghost House Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment are teaming up to make Incident at Sans Asylum with Spanish director Daniel Calparsoro set to direct.
The feature follows aspiring musicians working as cooks for the criminally insane who find themselves locked in the asylum when a major thunderstorm hits. S. Craig Zahler penned the script. Variety reports Zahler has several projects in development at Warner Bros. and DreamWorks, but a trip over to IMDb doesn’t show much of anything outside of some cinematography work.
As for director Daniel Calparsoro, his resume is pretty much a list of “What?” to me since I don’t keep up on indie Spanish films.
Incident will be the third collaboration between Ghost House and Vertigo as the two houses teamed on the first two Grudge pics.
