Chris Columbus has scattered his directorial outings and looks to finally be getting back in the director’s chair with a feature for Fox 2000 called The Lightning Thief based on the fantasy novel by author Rick Riordan.
Columbus is no stranger to fantasy having directed the first two Harry Potter films and will this time be telling a story which revolves around a young boy who discovers that he’s the descendant of a Greek god, and his quest to quell a battle between mythological deities.
“The Lightning Thief” is the first book in Riordan’s series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.”
