Perez Hilton normally doesn’t post anything outside of fun-loving gossip and celebrity outings, but today he has broken the mold with our first look at Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd in which he plays the title character, a.k.a. the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
To the right is a look at one of the pics and it isn’t exactly the greatest of quality and of course Perez does his thing with his Microsoft Paint (you’ll see what I mean when you click thru), but when you do tell me he doesn’t look a little bit like Edward Scissorhands. Perez says the same thing and it is almost a dead ringer. I guess it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as Tim Burton also directed Depp in Edward and again now in Sweeney Todd.
Sweeney Todd also stars Borat himself, Sacha Baron Cohen, as Signor Adolfo Pirelli. Rumor has it that Sacha was having a hard time with some of the singing and Burton actually permitted him to rap some of his lines. Should be interesting.
