Let’s be honest, Efren Ramirez will pretty much always be known for his role as Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite and Mattew Lillard as Stu from Scream or Scooby-Doo‘s Shaggy. Either way, the chance of me being interested in anything they do in the future is slim.
So, with that said, I bring you news of the two teaming for the comedy American Summer, which is about a pool boy and gardener who take over a Beverly Hills mansion and become neighborhood pimps.
Wow! That is an original idea and a multi-million dollar one if I ever heard one.
Lillard plays a pool boy who has managed to convince his parents he’s attending Harvard. After his apartment complex undergoes termite fumigation, he moves with a pretty escort/neighbor and a young friend into an empty mansion where he works and soon stumbles into the world’s oldest profession. Ramirez plays the next-door gardener called in as “the muscle” of the operation.
