So many people refer to the shitty One Hour Photo when they mention Mark Romanek‘s directorial career, what they fail to mention are the fantastic music videos he directed such as two of the best all time in Madonna’s “Bedtime Story” and Nine Inch Nails video for “Closer”. Oh yeah and the cool ass “Faint” video by Linkin Park and Fiona Apple’s “Criminal,” cracked out looking or not you know you all wanted Apple after that one, you girls too. You can check all those out below, but let’s get on with the story at hand.
Andrew Walker wrote the screenplay and it is said that the film will keep to the period setting of the 1941 original with a fall start planned for production.
Producer Scott Stuber told The Hollywood Reporter, “Mark has a great love and knowledge of film… He’s a great and authentic storyteller. He looks for the truth in the characters, the scenes and in the set design. It’s going to be exciting to see what he brings to the horror genre.”
