Eva Mendes is about to be seen in what looks like a travesty of a comic book adaptation Ghost Rider but of course the beauty won’t be down for long as she also has We Own the Night coming up with Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg, which looks super cool as it is set in the world of Russian organized crime and an embattled New York City Police Department in the 1980s. A Russian narcotics gang has a hit list of NYPD officers and it is up to Joseph, a night club manager to save his brother Bobby and father who are next on this list. Even better, Chris Walken is in it too. Oh yeah!
As for this bit of news, a little interesting, that is if it was a different director. Mendes is set to star in Cleaner for Mr. The Covenant himself… Renny Harlin. Harlin has had a disaster trying to make due at the box lately with The Covenant, Mindhunters and Exorcist: The Beginning, but it is a step in the right direction getting Mendes… that is for sure. Oh, I forgot to mention there are a few other stars in this pic: Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Christa Campbell and Keke Palmer. Not shabby at all.
Cleaner is a thriller written by Matthew Aldrich in which the story centers on a former cop (Jackson) who makes his living cleaning up crime scenes. After cleaning a murder site, he discovers that the crime was never reported to the police and that he has unwittingly covered up a homicide.
