As RopeofSilicon continues to grow and offer our users more and more features I am extremely proud of two of the partnerships we have created here. First off are the box-office numbers provided on all of our movie preview pages, which are generously provided by Box-Office Mojo, the best box-office numbers resource online and tonight I have finally gone live with our new RottenTomatoes link-share partnership as the patented Tomatometer will now be featured on just about all of our movie preview pages. Of course it is going to take us some time to get all of the movies matched up, I think we now have 1,300 movies left to match, but all future movies and all of our 2006 movies are already matched up and all the movies will update as we go further.
You will notice on the homepage that the latest reviews will include the RottenTomatoes corresponding icon for either “Fresh” or “Rotten” movies while also showing you the RopeofSilicon grade, an example is featured below, too bad all the movies are “Rotten” at this time. You can mouse over the icon and get the Tomatometer rating as well!
The Tomatometer will show up on the movie preview pages, review pages and home video pages in the format seen below, giving you every chance to see what the critics think as well as offering a link to the corresponding RottenTomatoes page where you can check out all the archived reviews.
As with all of our new features I just believe this is one more example of how RopeofSilicon offers everything you could possibly need to follow what is going on in the world of movies and with Box-Office Mojo and now RottenTomatoes as two of our proud partners I hope you agree!
