The Writer’s Guild’s 2006 Noms

Well, yet another guild has weighed in with their nominees for 2006 as the Writer’s Guild of America gives us their noms for Original and Adapted Screenplays. The nominees were announced this morning after 13,000 members voted. The only surprises in my book is the nod for Stranger than Fiction and Little Children considering Stranger is not that great and I heard Little Children deviated entirely from the source material.

A quick peek at Variety tells us that WGA winners have matched the Oscar winner in the original category seven times in the past 12 years. So get a head start on what may be Oscars picks with the noms below.
