Malcolm McDowell, Pete Postlethwaite and Virginie Ledoyen are all three attached to star in the feature film adaptation of Rod On, Jr.’s upcoming second novel titled “Le Dernier Chapitre” a.k.a. “The Last Chapter.” Louis G. Friedman, Andre Rouleau Robert Levine, Rod On Jr., Mara Vardanya and Michael MacDonald are producing; a co-production between Remstar Corp and Leon Entertainment.
Set for publication March 2007 by Michel Lafon Publishing (Europe) and Warner Book, Inc. (US) “Le Dernier Chapitre” centers on a broken man who finds salvation in the arms of his best friend’s wife, but is she who she says she is? A rep at Leon Entertainment informed RopeofSilicon that negotiations are currently underway with Guy Pearce, Aaron Eckhart and Catherine Zeta-Jones, all three are in talks for the lead roles.
Filming is tenatively scheduled to begin January 2007 in Montreal, Toronto and Washington, DC.
