A giant list of names are now attached to the indie comedy The Ten, names like Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Ken Marino, Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux. On top of that The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Winona Ryder, Famke Janssen, Gretchen Mol, Liev Schreiber, Rob Corddry, Ron Silver and Oliver Platt have also joined the City Lights Pictures satire that spoofs the Bible’s Ten Commandments.
Yup, spoofing the story of the Ten Commandments. If you don’t think the religious right are going to be all over this guess again. As a matter of fact I recently received in my email Inbox a little letter regarding Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, I guess someone was a bit upset:
Shame on you. This movie definitely deserved an R rating. Filled with crass, crude, lewd, scenes, language from the mouths of little kids took all the real fun out of the movie. Even mentioning Jesus name inappropriately and same-sex kissing and fondling. Ugh.
Ha ha, gotta love the people out there in society that can’t handle gay film content. Don’t see Brokeback Mountain ma’am! I don’t want shame brought down on me again.
As for The Ten, David Wain is directing from a screenplay he wrote with Ken Marino with shooting set to take place in New York and Mexico.
