What do you do after one tragedy of a film? Well, for Bewitched director Nora Ephron you set up a feature film adaptation of a book with a very long title.
Ephron is set to write and direct the feature film adaptation of Julie Powell’s book “Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen” for Columbia Pictures.
Apparently is something of a chef herself and sparked to the cuisine aspect and the way it unlocked a journey that pulls the protag out of a rut. The book itself chronicles a personal quest by Powell in which she set out to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” She chronicled her trials and tribulations in a blog that caught on with the food crowd and led to a book deal.
Tichina Arnold and Jill Hennessy have joined the cast of Wild Hogs, a comedy for Touchstone Pictures being produced by Tollin/Robbins Prods. Walt Becker is directing. The movie, written by Brad Copeland, will see John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy as a group of frustrated, middle-age suburban biker wannabes who hit the open road in search of adventure, only to encounter a rough and tumble New Mexico biker gang called the Del Fuegos.
