Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have a couple of quick casting notes that I felt should be shared.
First off, Shohreh Aghdashloo is joining the cast of New Line’s Nativity as St. Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist. Only a few days ago it was announced that Keisha Castle-Hughes would be playing the Virgin Mary in the story that will focus on the events leading up to the birth of Jesus, including Mary’s visit with Elizabeth while both were pregnant.
The second bit comes from The Hollywood Reporter in which Evan Ross and Scott Reeves have joined the cast of Lionsgate’s PDR.
PDR stars Terrence Howard and Bernie Mac and chronicles the real-life story of Jim Ellis (Howard), who in the 1970s transformed a group of troubled black inner-city kids into one of the best swim teams in the country.
