With Wolf Creek coming out on Christmas day it only seems appropriate that we bring you some new pics from another horror movie as Lions Gate has just sent us four new pics from The Descent, and a couple of them are a bit juicy.
If you are wondering what that creature in the pic above is, it is referred to as a crawler in the film, which takes place one year after a tragic accident, when six girlfriends meet in a remote part of the Appalachians for their annual caving trip (sounds about right, doesn’t it?). Deep below the surface of the earth, disaster strikes when a rock falls and blocks their route back to the surface. The girls soon learn that Juno, the thrill-seeking leader of the expedition, has brought them to an unexplored cave and that as a result no knows where they are to come rescue them. The group splinters and each push on, praying for another exit. But there is something else lurking under the earth – a race of monstrous humanoid creatures that are adapted perfectly to life in the dark. As the friends realize they are now prey, they are forced to unleash their most primal instincts in an all-out war against an unspeakable horror – one that attacks without warning, again and again and again.

I should also note, while we are talking horror, that I have just updated the trailer park for Eli Roth’s upcoming film Hostel, which they aren’t screening here in Seattle (hint, hint), with nine new clips and yet another TV Spot, click here for those. If horror is your passion, we have you covered for the holidays.
Enjoy!
