The folks over at The Movie Insider just dropped me a line with word that they had just received 18 behind-the-scenes shots of Brad Pitt‘s new movie The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which is being released by Warner Bros. Pictures some time next year.
The film stars Brad Pitt as the famed gunslinger James in the period oateroater. Ford (Casey Affleck) is a youth who joined the James gang and went from idolizing to resenting the man known as the fastest gun in the West. He figured on making his rep by gunning down James but shot his mentor in the back, stamping himself the most famous coward around.
The pics come from the Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada set and while a couple of the pics are a bit on the blurry side the majority of them give you some good looks at what will hopefully be our next good western. Chances of it living up to Tombstone are slim, but we can always hope.
