Since I was out of town all weekend I missed a couple of stories, so here are three quick ones to hold you over.
First up HPANA was up a new UK trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that premiered on the British morning show GMTV and the version the little muggles were able to score is pretty damn good so click here to check it out.
Next, George Lucas talked the upcoming Revenge of the Sith DVD release with the New York Post regarding deleted scenes and also touched upon the live-action TV show planned for either 2006 or 2007, here is a snippet:
“Most [of the deleted scenes] are Senatorial in nature,” says Lucas, backstage at his “Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars” fashion show on Thursday. “Some are about the conspiracy, in terms of starting the Rebel Alliance.
“But mostly,” he adds, with an eye to the hurridly dressing Queen Amidala models behind him, “there’s lots of beautiful costumes!”
“There will be a live-action show, but I don’t know if it’ll be in 2006,” he says. “I haven’t even started writing the script.”
He does know, however, that the show will take place between Episodes III and IV, and will focus on the little people – those weird-looking creatures you glimpse fleetingly in the background.
“It’s all minor, minor characters [from the movies],” says the director. “It’s not the Skywalker story at all – that’s going on in another part of the galaxy.”
Honestly the TV show sounds like a bust, but we will just have to wait and see, click here for the whole article.
Finally, Paul Haggis recently acquired the duty of rewriting the 21st James Bond film Casino Royale and after his recent successes with Million Dollar Baby and Crash the hope is that the buck stops here. Haggis had a few things to say regarding the script to The Hollywood Reporter, here is a snippet:
“It’s going to be good,” he says. “We’re trying to reinvent Bond. He’s 28: no Q, no gadgets.”
