While the latest almost Triple Crown winner Funny Cide isn’t getting the theatrical treatment Seabiscuit got, his story is going to be told nonetheless as TNT is developing an original movie based on the book “Funny Cide,” the true story of one of the most celebrated horseracing teams in history.
Granada America is producting and Jon Maas is adapting the story conerning Funny Cide’s unconventional team of blue-collar owners who surprised the racing world last year by winning both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness.
