Newly crowned Oscar-winner Tim Robbins has been cast in Columbia Picture’s Zathura with Elf director Jon Favreau set to helm. The film will begin production in August and is based on the book by children’s novelist Chris Van Allsburg who also wrote “Jumanji” and “The Polar Express.”
The story follows two young brothers who are drawn into an intergalactic adventure when their house is magically hurtled through space. Robbins will play the boys’ father.
